What Counts as a Dental Emergency?
A Toothache That Won’t Quit
Throbbing pain, pain when you bite, or pain waking you up at night. Pain is your tooth telling you something, and it rarely improves on its own.
A Broken or Chipped Tooth
Swelling or an Abscess
A swollen jaw, cheek, or gum can mean infection. This is the one you never wait out, because infections spread.
A Knocked-Out Tooth
Minutes matter here. Call us immediately and follow the steps below, because a fast response can save the tooth.
What to Do Right Now
For a Toothache
Rinse with warm salt water and use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever if you need it, but never put aspirin directly on the gum. It burns the tissue.
For a Knocked-Out Tooth
Pick it up by the crown, not the root. If it’s clean, try placing it gently back in the socket. If not, keep it in a cup of milk and get to us fast.
For a Broken Tooth
Save any pieces, rinse your mouth with warm water, and use a cold compress for swelling. Avoid chewing on that side until we’ve seen it.
Worried About the Cost? Come In Anyway.
Too many people sit at home in pain because they’re afraid of the bill. Not here. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurance, our cash prices run well below corporate-chain pricing, and you’ll know the exact cost of any treatment before we start. First we stop the pain. Then we talk options, at prices that fit real budgets.
Emergency Questions, Straight Answers
